Find your steady on the water
Modern life often keeps us in a state of Red Mind. This is the familiar sense of high-alert urgency where the mind is always three steps ahead of the body. You might recognize it as the persistent mental fog that settles in after hours of screen time, or the way your attention feels scattered between work, home, and the constant noise of notifications.
It is the weight of carrying multiple roles at once, often leading to a sense of being permanently over-stretched. This state of constant busyness can leave us feeling physically drained and mentally fatigued, as if we are treading water just to keep up.
Foundations in Blue Health is a structured programme designed to help you leave that noise on the bank. By combining professional river coaching with the clinical tools of mindfulness (MBCT-L), we provide a clear, evidence-based path back to clarity and focus.
A complete, all-inclusive experience: We handle the logistics so you can focus on the reset. You do not need any prior experience or your own gear to begin.
-
All Equipment Provided: We provide stable, high-quality paddleboards, paddles, and safety equipment.
-
The "Slow" Approach: This is more than a lesson. We don't rush the distance. We use the water to help the body stop bracing and start experiencing "soft fascination", allowing the brain to naturally recharge.
-
Expert Guidance: Led by a qualified technical coach and clinical mindfulness teacher to ensure you feel safe and supported through every wobble.
-
Private Sanctuary: Launch from our secluded base at the Arden Sailing Club. You have full access to secure parking, changing rooms, and hot showers.
-
Digital Support: Your investment includes a technical orientation, two mid-week practice sessions via Zoom, and 12 months of access to our private audio library.
The 4-Week Progression: Sundays in July | 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
-
Week 1: Arrival. We start on the grass, mastering the physical foundations of SUP before moving to the water to break the autopilot habit.
-
Week 2: Stability. Use the board as a radar to detect and release physical tension. Find your steady among the summer lilies and quiet reeds.
-
Week 3: Navigating the Wobble. Learn practical tools like the S.T.O.P. pause to handle life's stressors without reactivity.
-
Week 4: Taking the River Home. A final downstream journey to spot the local wildlife and integrate your Blue Mind practice for daily life.
Detailed Course Value: The investment of £220 covers a comprehensive curriculum and professional resources:
-
Technical and Clinical Orientation: A 75-minute Zoom session to introduce the neuroscience of Blue Health and settle all logistical questions.
-
8 Hours of Specialist Coaching: Four Sunday evening river sessions when the water is at its most tranquil.
-
Mid-Week Integration: Two 30-minute guided practices to help you bring the calm of the river into your home and work life.
-
Resource Library: A full year of access to professional audio recordings and evidence-based practice guides.
Is this for me? This course is for anyone seeking a grounded, practical way to manage the busyness of life. Whether you are a total beginner or a regular paddler, we limit the group to 8 participants to ensure the highest standards of safety and individual care.
