Solo paddlers welcome
Coming on your own? Brilliant. Plenty of our regulars started exactly that way.
This season, every group session is open to solo bookings by default. No waiting list, no form to fill in, no minimum group size. Just pick a date and book. You'll join a small, friendly group of up to six paddlers and we'll look after you from the moment you arrive.
Which session is right for me?
If you've never paddleboarded before, Learn to SUP is the natural starting point. A 1.5-hour group session with full coaching from the bank before we get on the water. Most people are standing within twenty minutes.
If you've paddled before and want a longer journey, SUP Safari is an award winning 2.5-hour guided trip down a quiet stretch of the Avon between Defford and Eckington. Beginner-friendly pace, plenty of wildlife.
If you'd like a regular weekly paddle, SUP Club runs every Monday evening from 6:15pm. A relaxed social paddle with all kit included, ideal once you've got the basics.
If you want one-on-one attention, our 1:1 Coaching sessions on Sundays are perfect for solo paddlers who want to go deep on technique. £90 per session.
Will I be the only one there?
Probably not, but sometimes yes. Weekday sessions in shoulder season can run with just one or two paddlers. Weekend sessions tend to fill up. Either way, you'll have our full attention and the river to yourself.
What if I'm nervous?
You won't be the first. Most people who book with us have never been on a board, and many arrive worried about balance, falling in, or "looking silly." We're patient, the river is calm, and the group is always small enough to make sure no one gets left behind. People can paddle on their knees or even sit if they prefer, and we genuinely don't mind. Whatever feels right.
If you'd rather chat first, give us a call on 07850 938 255 — happy to talk through what would work best for you.
