Ready to practice yoga with a difference? SUP yoga lessons can reset your body and your mind in a whole new way this summer with accredited ASI SUP yoga instructor, Alex Wittering

New to paddleboarding? New to yoga? Doesn't matter all; our SUP yoga classes are completely beginner friendly so that anyone can have a go. There's space to go at your own pace, perhaps challenge yourself or just enjoy a new experience.

SUP yoga is all about getting outdoors and embracing a new perspective. The added challenge of being on the water really helps to bring you into the moment, and even the simplest of poses can become challenging for even the most practised of yogis!

What you'll be doing...

We will meet at a stunning, secluded, private lake in Malvern, under the hills in breathtaking surroundings. We will have a short on-land briefing covering safety, equipment and any questions you might have before paddling out to the anchor rig where we will practice for an hour before heading back to base.

You will be able to try out various poses and postures on the calm, flat water of the lake without boat traffic or other water users to worry about. Alex will give you postures to suit your ability and options to challenge yourself if you like, you don’t need to have experience.

What is an ASI accredited SUP yoga instructor?

Alex is both a 200 hour qualified yoga teacher, an ASI SUP instructor and a qualified ASI SUP yoga instructor, so you're in very safe hands. , but you must be able to swim 50m unaided.

Additional Information

1On-site facilities
Please be aware there are no toilets or changing facilities on site but there are plenty of trees and bushes!
2What should you wear?
You will need to dress for the weather in light quick drying gym wear. On cooler days a wetsuit is optional (we do not provide them) but they can be restrictive. Personally I prefer layers of light tight fitting gym wear that will dry quickly. There is of course a possibility of falling in, so bring a towel and a change of clothes, something warm to put on afterwards just in case. A bottle of water, suncream and perhaps a hat for a hot day. If the weather is looking a little wet bring a light rain coat (pac-a-mac). SUP yoga in the rain is MAGICAL but maybe not if you are feeling chilly! During the warmer months I recommend just a swimming costume or leggings and a t-shirt if you prefer. If you have any circulation problems neoprene gloves can be very helpful and water shoes are a must (old trainers will do in a pinch). When we meet we will discuss this as part of our initial briefing and make sure you are kitted out appropriately.
3Feeling a little unsure?
New skills outside of our comfort zone can always seem a little daunting, but we are always SO much more capable than we think we are. We are passionate about making sure everybody feels safe, confident and happy with their experience; our approach is gentle, supportive and compassionate and you have nothing to worry about; we’ll look after you :)
4Refund & Cancellation Policy
We have to plan ahead and session spaces are limited so we offer a full refund if you notify us of your cancellation 2 weeks before your session or a 50% refund a week before your booked session (gift voucher sessions are non-refundable). We only operate under the safest conditions, as such if the weather (wind), or water (flow/flood) conditions are not appropriate for beginner’s lessons we will notify you and arrange a more suitable date for your experience.
